How we compared them

Every Guestpix figure above is read off their own wedding pricing page and help articles, in US dollars, including the wording printed on each package card — not from a directory listing or a third-party round-up, both of which lag repackaging badly. Where they do not publish something, the cell says so rather than guessing. The Wedding Arrivals rows are stated from its live pricing and product, and every one is something you can check on this site before you pay. Prices are re-checked on both sides before this page changes, and both providers run promotions, so confirm the number on the day you buy.

At $49, ours is the whole product and theirs is the starter one

This is the difference that matters most, because $49 is what most couples actually spend. Both $49 plans give you unlimited photos and videos, a live slideshow, moderation, sub-albums and co-hosts. The gap is in what happens to the page your guests look at: on Wedding Arrivals the colour palette and font pairing are set by the couple on every plan, including the $49 one, and so is the audio guestbook — the one that records a voice rather than asking people to type. Guestpix ships its $49 Classic with what its own card calls a "Default Color Theme"; custom colours and fonts begin on the $89 Signature. The Guestpix guestbook is written and video only, on every tier.

So the honest way to read the two entry plans is this: if the design of your guest page matters to you at all, the real Guestpix price is not $49, it is $89 — and even then you do not get a voice guestbook, because they do not sell one.

At $89, the same money buys twice the album life

Both products have an $89 plan, and both give you a 12-month upload window at that price — so guests can still add the photo they found on their camera roll months later. What differs is how long the album itself stays online afterwards: the Wedding Arrivals Complete plan hosts it for 24 months, Guestpix Signature for 12. For the same money, that is a second year to get around to downloading everything.

Neither product is an archive, and neither pretends to be: download your originals as a full-resolution ZIP soon after the wedding, whichever you choose. The extra year is insurance against forgetting, not a substitute for having your own copy.

At $119, three events or three galleries — and whose clock is running

Both sell a three-event option at $119, and they are not the same thing. The Wedding Arrivals Weekend package is three separate events — engagement party, rehearsal dinner, wedding — each with its own QR code and its own clocks, starting on its own date. The Guestpix Signature Bundle is three galleries sharing one 24-month window, and its card states that it starts from the date of purchase. If you buy it a year before an engagement party that runs six months before the wedding, a meaningful part of that shared window is spent before your wedding day arrives.

When the clocks start — now largely a tie, with one exception

This used to be a clear gap and is mostly not one any more, so here it is stated straight: Guestpix now prints "Hosting Starts From Event Date" on both single-gallery plans, which is the same principle Wedding Arrivals uses. The remaining differences are narrow. Wedding Arrivals anchors both the upload window and storage to the wedding date, where the Guestpix cards state it for hosting only; and the Guestpix three-gallery bundle is the exception that still runs from the purchase date. Across the fifty services we compared, only six anchor storage to the event date at all — so on this axis both products do the right thing and most of the field does not.

Testing it before the day

The Wedding Arrivals free trial is 60 photos over 30 days with every feature unlocked and no card, and a paid gallery goes live the moment it is bought — so you can print the QR code and hand it to the relative you are least sure about, months ahead. Guestpix offers a 50-photo demo on the same no-card terms, which tests the upload flow perfectly well, but the Guestpix pricing page states that a purchased gallery opens two weeks before the event date, so a full dress rehearsal earlier than that is not something you can do.

• Digital invitations and RSVPs. Every Guestpix plan bundles them with the gallery, so one purchase covers both the invitation and the photo collection — Wedding Arrivals sells no invitation or RSVP product at all, so if you want them in the same place, that is a real reason to choose Guestpix.
• A sociable guest feed. Guests can like and comment on each other’s photos and download them at full resolution, which turns the gallery into something closer to a private social feed — Wedding Arrivals does not build that by design, so if you want guests interacting rather than just contributing, Guestpix is the better fit.

One more thing worth crediting: the Guestpix guest page runs in more than ten languages, where the Wedding Arrivals guest page is English only. For a wedding where a large share of guests do not read English comfortably, that is a practical advantage, and it is stated here rather than left out.
